Old City

As requested by a dear friend, Macchi, I present you the Vielle-Ville de Genève. One reason why I love this city so much. :)

The Cathedral green tower. It's the highest tower in the city, and can be seen even from the lake.


A gate to the old city. You cannot see it from the picture, as I am a lousy photographer, but the Old City is located in a small hill higher than Geneva city. As the old city is the heart of Geneva city, important institutions are built at the foot of this hill. From where I stand, you can see the university, opera house, music hall, musée Rath, and of course line of mountain far away. :)


One narrow street in the old city. The old city is really a compact city full of old buildings surrounded by a protective wall. We can find all important administrative building inside, as it is the last defence of the city.
